All of my work is made with local Maine clay. I dig it by hand along the
Androscoggin River. I am passionate about using local clay and
minimizing my environmental impact. I use Terra Sigilatta and low-fire
glazes. All of my work is once fired to cone 04. Since I am using
natural materials there are always some variations in color etc. This
unpredictability is one of my favorite things about this process. It
keeps me on my toes. Think organic vegetables. Real, healthy, and
sustainable. I guarantee that I will keep learning and changing and so
will my work. Please keep checking on me. I am currently working on my
fast-fire wood kiln and hope to supplement with veggie oil. I'll keep you
posted as I figure out how to do that.
